Title: maturation
Post by: johneb91 on August 11, 2012, 10:44:39 AM
I\'ve read the typical improvement in Beyer numbers from age 2 to 3 is 1.5 points per month and from 3 to 4 is 1 point.  Realizing this is a very rough estimate, what is the \"typical\" improvement in sheet numbers from age 2 to 3 and 3 to 4?
Thanks!

3 points each year. We know this because it\'s the average change in TGI of the stallion profiles. Keep in mind that averages can be misleading-- sound horses develop more than that, especially 2 to 3.
