Silky,

Thanks so much for the message.  Really nice of you to say.

I have been reading all of the posts (which are terrific as always, thanks Richiebee for the give out on that LDK firster) but I just felt like my posts and the responses to my posts had become a big distraction from all of the great insight from others so I took a break.

I am headed off on vacation tomorrow with the family so will be out of touch for a bit but maybe will start posting again when I get back if it doesn\'t start a holy war again!

Just spent a great day up at the spa yesterday watching my two year olds train in the morning and spending a great day on the front side even though my horse in the finale didn\'t fire off the layoff.  Kudos to NYRA for moving up the post times as we wouldn\'t have gotten the last race in at the orginally scheduled time as the skies opened up not long after the last.  I know we love to criticize NYRA but that was a very smart move that saved alot of the day of turf racing at the end of the card.

Have had some luck lately with the stable as our 3 year old filly ran a nice one in the allowance race at Parx last weekend and finally put it all together with the first time blinkers (ran a big new top which we think we due to the blinkers as she was cheating on us in the prior races, that was a great example of how an equipment change really helps (went from three straight 10s to a 5.5).  Coach Royal won a nice MSW at Belmont and then gave us a thrill at the top of the stretch in the VA Derby. He ran a slight new top but that wasn\'t nearly good enough as Jerry had predicted int he ROTW.  Still cashed a nice check though for 5th given the massive purse of that thing, better than 2nd in an allowance which was part of my thought process. He\'s two notches below the best turf three year olds but I wanted to take a shot given that I know he likes the mile and a quarter and I didn\'t think some of the others would but that Silver Max is a truly incredible horse to overcome a distance that he doesn\'t really want, then the horse heading him after his saddle slipped, then warding off challengers all the way down the lane.  That was incredible.  The 3 year old turf division is LOADED and I would pay alot of money to watch Summer Front and Silver Max go head to head.  I really hope we get to see that matchup.

Good luck to everyone this weekend.

Jim
