That 7 wins in a row at 6 different tracks with about 5 different jockeys. If he runs the table this year and wins the Breeders Cup Mile is he 3YO Champ??
If he doesn\'t run the rest of the year of the year, I still think he\'s the 3yo champ......

He\'s done a lot, but if he stops today he isn\'t 3 YO champ.
I\'ll Have Another won the Robert Lewis, SA Derby and the first 2 legs of the TC. That\'s 3 GR 1 races, going undefeated in 4 races. No way does a 3YO turf horse win the award over that resume.
Now, if he wins the big stakes race at Arlington and goes on to win the BC Mile as has been mentioned, then you have something.
The scales are Triple Crown slanted and Turf horses have almost NO shot. Thats the bad news the good news is they keep running and we get to watch and bet. This is a good story and he is named after the \"White Haired\" young boy Silver Max.
I\'ll Have Another is a deserving champ when he gets it. And yet he only ran 4 times at 3 and retired lame in early June. Somehow there needs to be a little more. I am sure Union Rags will also be an Eclipse finalist now that he is retired. He ran 4 times at 3 and retired lame.

Correct about the scales being slanted towards Triple Crown races, that\'s the main reason I made that point.

And to take it a step farther, if Stephen Strasburg gets the plug pulled due to innings pitched I guess he\'ll be the front runner for Cy Young.
At the risk of starting a sequence of posts that have nothing to do with horse racing, I am loving me some Oakland A\'s right now. Attended Friday and Saturday night, what a great series. It\'s time the rest of the country takes these guys seriously.

I\'d love to, but according to the national
sports channel I watch, there are only TWO
baseball teams -- the Yankees and the Red Sox.
Which is weird, because I thought we have a
team or two in the Chicago area. Well -- one
decent one, anyway...if someone could tell ESPN.
