Title: ROW
Post by: FrankD. on July 14, 2012, 03:41:21 AM
In the final stages of Spring training there is nothing juicy at Belmont for moi today so why not go with a betting trainer to pad the opening day bankroll a bit for the Spa.

Dale Romans has the 5/2 ML favorite in Silver Max who has run off 4 straight stakes on the grass; 2 of them graded. So he grabs Alan Garcia in from NY for the other stake to ride Quick Wit here who is eligible for a NW2? They obviously thought highly of this horse over the winter as he was not disgraced in the Hutchinson and had a legitimate excuse in the Swale.

A very forward moving 3 year old, getting weight with some sneaky good turf breeding who breezed very nicely on Wednesday @ 10/1. Did someone say traveling money?

Good luck,

Frank D.

Hot & Humid with 40% chance of scattered showers in Chicago today.

Interesting race!  Sure Silver Max (Badge of Silver) might wire them but the distance might just might be his undoing today.  To me he\'s going to be at his best at 1 mile and I\'ll also make that same comment about Sachem Spirit (Mr. Greeley).  If those two pressure each other it could set this race up for a nice upset.

#1 All Stormy should love the additional distance.  A bit biased with this one because Jim Tafel is a great guy and I have to route for him.  All Stormy is a half to another Tafel owned horse Country Flavor - 19 Starts: 5 - 2 - 3, $215,954 who was 1st Hanshin Cup H. (G3,AP,8f) and 1st in Tenacious H.(FG,8.5f) posting a TG 2.  So All Stormy should enjoy the additional distance and might produce a Top here.

#2 Cozzetti - should also appreciate the additional distance and does his best running late so I\'ll also use him.

So I\'ll play those two to win at 8-1 or more, protecting with the chalk on top in the exacta.

Best of luck to everyone.

Sachem spirit also out.  Will use All Stormy and Sky Ring in DD with Sky Blazer.

I bet Romans was hoping the enrtry of Max would scare people off and he was going to scratch anyway. Didn\'t work as several entered.

Biosterous and Sky Blazer look interesting. Shug shipped in for $400K less in purse than Man O\'War where horse was 3rd last yr. Does have Point of Entry in the War who he described as \"great big ole Dynaformer\". Anotherwords late developer.

Note Sky Blazer has dusted Point of Entry twice and romped in last.

Frank gonna be at the Spa the week of the Travers. Hope I see you and everyone else there.

All Stormy negative jockey switch to Robby Albarado, will lean toward Sky ring, tho don\'t like Lucas on the green.  All button?
