(1) Horse for course.
(2) Long run to first turn.
(3) Starts two and three back he got to the lead early...last race represents a pace change after a troubled beginning...better than looked effort, and he closed on Silver Max at a shorter distance while disadvantaged in experience.
(4) According to pace, Silver Max will have to work to get the lead from Skyring... must travel an extra 8th for the first time.
(5) Seven weeks rest could help.
Skyring is \'lasix off\' i think.....he was rushed back into action for the \'big days\' by DWL (this horse raced derby week, preakness week and belmont week) and seemeed \'over the top\' last time. When you see a horse off a big loss like that, normally, they might handle him more conservatively. To be honest, this Skyring is a nice horse who\'s being terribly mismanaged (big surprise there).
Not sure this horse is in top form and is going to be challenging the favorite early.
Skyring HAS lasix, program correction.
Not sure why Silver Max AND Sachem Spirit are scratched, but they are.

Silver Max is ticketed for the Virginia Derby @ Colonial.
