Title: Am I The Only One Who Hit the Sprint?
Post by: Tony on October 28, 2003, 07:56:21 AM
Wow! I am shocked, it seems like I am the only one who hit the tri in the sprint. My bet was Scott Lake\'s horse over six horses and the eleven over six horses and six horses over the eleven. I obviously did not think it was a lock but at 20-1 with an improving pattern why not take a shot. I thought he had a shot or was going to bounce and finish up the track. I just wish I had more of a longshot mentality the rest of the card.

Tony,

Nice hit on the BC Sprint tri. My co-host Jeff Bloom and I made Cajun Beat our BC \"best play\" during last Saturday\'s Thoroughbred Connection radio show on ESPN Radio 800 in San Diego.

We did the work without consulting each other before show time, and ended up with the same top pick.

I didn\'t play the tri, but ended up with a nice win bet and a $1 exa box including the top two for a $400 payoff.

Kudos to both of you. I don\'t like to \"redboard\", but I guess my win bet, which was only 20% of what I put into the race, means that I \"hit\" the sprint, though it didn\'t feel like much of a victory at the time. I didn\'t use Blues in any exotic. In contrast, new TG sheets user W.Ando had the tri, but he was entertaining clients, & a few minutes before post his boss asked if he could buy half of his ticket. His boss then proceeded to quadruple his half of the score, while W.Ando spent the rest of the day treading water. But he did sit with & meet a bunch of tv & movie \"stars\", so who do you think he had his picture taken with? You\'re right if you guessed Judge Judy, the lead character in his mother\'s favorite tv show. The picture was autographed & framed, and he tells me his mother can\'t wait to bring it along the next time she goes to bingo. Now you have an idea why just about everyone likes W.Ando, who also \"hit\" the sprint.
