Title: Triple Crown Fever
Post by: FrankD. on May 20, 2012, 04:37:26 AM
It\'s rampant and will only build for the next 3 weeks for sure. Let\'s hope for a beautiful Belmont Day, a crowd of 100,000 and for NYRA to load up a great under card along with the traditional Belmont day stakes races. All great things for the game and particularly for the beleaguered NY circuit.

BUT:
Is Drug O\'Neil winning the triple crown and then getting suspended in Cali for positives what we need right now? I guess it could be worse if Tricky Dutrow was the last triple crown winning trainer but probably not that much.It should be an interesting few weeks as the mainstream media gets a hold horse racing like it only does with a possible triple crown on the horizon.

The jockey from no where, NYRA & the political football with NY racing, the NY Times series, PETA & lasix all should make it very interesting.

So line up the fresh shooters one of which will have to run 2-3 Thoro-Graph points faster than they have before to prevent a triple crown and let\'s hope NYRA\'s recent disastrous track record of hosting big events is reversed.

Frank I could not agree more.

The Cards are usually good on Belmont Day. This one should be exceptional. The crowd needs to know \"we are ready for you\" starting NOW!! O\'Neil was questioned pretty good by Randy Moss yesterday so that part of the coverage should be over. Other new Writers now have their turn.

Tje Challenge needs to go to and and ALL with Social Media to GET THE WORD OUT!!! Thats how to leverage this great day into new awareness.

Oooh and call 1-800 WEA-THER.

You are correct, the WEATHER is going to be one of the most important parts of the puzzle that ensures big crowds and lots of big pools.

Silver,

It didn\'t take long for the \'other writers to have their turn\" read today\'s NY Post, Phil Mushnick\'s column about Drug O\'Neil and Randy Moss\'s soft toss interview.

O\'Neill\'s brother\'s CNN hilarity about having to Google the term \"milkshake\" was a real knee-slapper.
