1. toby\'s corner - has the best number of all 2 back, bounced last time seems like the key. in at 118
2. endorsement - love the line. short rest though & 124 lbs. should get a piece.
3. Hymm book - off his worst dirt # ever. at 124 & the odds, I\'ll pass
4. Cherokee Artist - fastest last #. short rest, big class test. should bounce. i\'m passing
5. Nehro, slight improvement last race. should get good pace setup. can he get back to the 0. in at 118. I\'m using him.
6. mission - getting a pt. in tg# from the other faves, very consistent. have to use in exotics.
7. yawanna twist - has his best #\'s in sprints or low level races. i\'m passing
8. alternation - like the line. giving a tg pt to others and the odds will not be great. pass
9. 8tofast - post, class, distance ?
Thoughts on the race, specifically Nehro.
Like Toby\'s Corner.
Don\'t mind Yawanna Twist at a price-sharp last work-he ran well over this surface and distance two years ago.
Nehro-ehh maybe underneath
Trying to beat the highweights.
tough call on Nehro. have they been taking it slow, waiting for this race and the Spa? or was he fully cranked to run at OP, a track he\'s handled well in the past. he\'s one of the favorites in the Special/Preakness double.
I like Toby. won\'t run the huge negative # at this distance, but with the nice draw and 118 lbs, he doesn\'t have to. a few points better than the Wood makes him competitive with an inside trip. might not get 6-1, but I see some potential value in the two day doubles.
good luck.
went with a Yawanna & Creative Cause Double. cold.
Somebody was hammering Yawanna Twist in the exacta pools. Some really crazy payouts with him running 1-2 at around 15-1.
In the words of my favorite fictional trainer Toro Escalante \" what a surprise\"
he went from tricky\'s barn to Johnny P\'s there\'s a combo that can wreck a pool or 2.
