Silver,

What is \"lukewarm\"?

Bode will be less than 2-1.  I will take book on that.

Bode 8-5
I\'ll Have Another 3-1
Went the Day Well 6-1
Creative Cause 8-1

Bode might be closer to even money. Ever since the Derby, all you\'ve heard is how great Bode\'s performance was how it was an \'epic\' race considering the pace, etc.

Also, the entire world is convinced that the only reason Bode lost is because of a horse (Trinn) who is bypassing the Preakness. All systems go, Bode is going to get bet like we havent seen in quite some time, he\'s going to be bet like he\'s a sure thing imo and no doubt the person or syndicate who dumped the million dollar bet on Bode will be right back to try and get that million back.

I\'d be shocked if Bode paid close to 6 bucks to win, i\'m thinking closer to 4.

I don\'t like the lines on Bode or creative cause at all, have to look elsewhere

Rich, can you add why you don\'t like the lines. i\'m curious to why on Creative Cause. He seems to be circling back to his top. Bode, I understand who backed up off a top and is running back on short rest.

I don\'t know about circling back to a top on Creative Cause, looks like they have squezzed the lemon dry on this guy.

One thing I like about Creative Cause is that the one \"bad\" or \"off\" race he has showing is the one race where you could question how much they were really gunning for a win that day. (SA Derby)

I agree and there was subsequent experimenting with equipment and.....the horse who beat him by like a neck in the SA Derby WON the Derby!!

Well, if you recall harringtons comments about how creative cause doesnt like to run between horses, I guess you can expect another wide trip.....the trip he got in louisville was awful....6-8 wide around the whole track.

Hey Justwin

The way I look at the line is he ran 5 nice races as a 2yr, good numbers, started fast, ended the same. Nice first at 3, and a hidden race, nice number next out, big 4 pt top on short rest with the bo/bi, that\'s a problem for me. Understandably he bounces next out. That derby number is an effort to me, the buried race is nice, I just think this horse on short rest off a secondary top (effort) is a definite play against. I think I would have liked it better if he ran the 0, which would have signalled to me at least that the 0 didn\'t hurt to much, and a forward move was coming. I see an off/x here, rest him several months and bring him back for later summer, but that\'s me

"He doesn't like to be crowded," said Harrington of Creative Cause. "In deep stretch (in the Santa Anita Derby), those horses were crowding him

so, basically, he will instruct rosario again to stay wide and he will have to be tons the best....unless  the rail becomes wide open at the right time, which is doubtful.

Me, I\'m wondering how much sleep the horse got on his TWO cross country flights in the 2 weeks since the Derby...

"He was pretty much himself this morning," Harrington said, per The Form.

"I think he's got his mojo back," Harrington added. "If the flight takes it out of him, we'll have to see."

Harrington worried also....I think he may be on the brink of ruining this horse.

he hates the whip also but i am not playing bode or iha unless the odds float up to 4-1. cc has beaten bode and just missed against iha in the sa derby, ran the same number in the ky derby as the winner & the odds seem right. i do like the line on wtdw with a small new top in the ky derby. will need another 1-2 pt jump forward to win though. have not seen the non derby horses lines yet.

CC has no published works since Apr 30, how do we know he flew back to Cali after the Derby?

Jimbo a friendly steak dinner bet at Mortons that two hrs before post Bode will 2-1 or more. Maybe late money pours in but I do not see him going off at 8/5.

Two things in his favor are Trainer success in the race and early speed factor at Pimlico.

Working against him is his line doesnt look all that great. And those are the guys who send it in at the windows. Except for the dazed and confused types who do it in the last two minutes before post.....

It\'s been all over the press that Harrington took CC home and back again.

And by the way, if you don\'t think the drug thing matters in baseball, watch when some of those guys are up for the Hall Of Fame.

Harrington on why he sent CC back to California the morning after the Derby:

\"I like to sleep in my own bed,so I figure my horse would like
to sleep in his own stall.\"

Who can argue with that logic?

Win, lose or draw, Harrington gets the idiot award IMO for the Triple Crown.  He puts blinkers on, puts \"cheaters on \", takes them off, then ships to California after the Derby.

Is he trying to screw up the horse?

Too bad, because this guy would be very enticing if it weren\'t for the trainer.  (and he could still win now, but hard to have any confidence betting him off all the bad moves by the trainer)

Good  luck,

Jim

Silver,

I will take that bet (and feel guilty about winning it!).

Very hard to see him going off at higher than 8-5.

Good luck,

Jim

I agree...I liked him in derby, and want to bet him here also...but most likely wont...harrington seems to be trying to fix what wasnt broken.

Np problem. And dont feel bad if you win. I put it our there. Actually there has been a few other takers via the Person-to-Person so lets just see.

People I guess are just totally discounting this as a bad field. Let me say this, the 1-3 horses in the Derby are NOT Silver Charm, Captain Bodget and Free House.

BTW-anyone else notice that TAP is now 1-18 at Belmont. Same guy who was 40% in South Florida. Interesting!

Why should CC be any different than any other horse in that barn?

I can assure you that CC is the best horse Harrington never trained.

The plane trips back and forth are the least of it.
