There is another difference in the ground measurements between TG and Trakus, this time in the 2012 Florida Derby. Trakus indicates that El Padrino lost 67 feet (7.5 lengths, give or take) relative to Take Charge Indy, and was beaten 2.5 lengths by TCI according to the chart. Netting that out, EP should get a figure at least 2.5 points better than TCI, rather than the point the TG figs indicate. There is also a discrepancy in the ground loss of Union Rags vs. TCI but not as dramatic. Any explanation for these discrepancies? Is there anything unique about the layout of GP that could explain why a 3w run there results in greater ground loss than at Pimlico, perhaps?
I\'m not going to look at it now, but as we discussed last year, Trakus has some problems. Also keep in mind the ground shown in our data is rounded off.
