Is anyone watching these Derby shows?
Migliore is already the best in the business. Far better than Stevens and even Bailey. Clear, consise and informative to the player. No mincing of words and not afraid to give his opinion, even when negative.
Very useful.
Yes. HRTV overall much better than TVG, but particularly in the talking heads department.
Mig still learning how to be comfortable in his own skin when on air, but he\'s got a bright future.(See that crew cut? Had to do a double take 1st time I saw it.)
Bailey is the best handicapper, extremely knowledgeable, but he\'s not particularly camera friendly.
Stevens probably best at putting YOU in the saddle and telling you what\'s happening as a race unfolds. Extremely knowledgeable, and very camera friendly.
So what the hell are they saying? Any real insight on this Derby? Clue us in. HP
I found Mike Smith to be camera friendly and knowledgeable during his TV time,
and he will be in demand if he ever retires.
Baffert said Mike Smith came back apologizing for winning by so much.
Stevens on Dullahan; \"I hated riding horses like him because you have work so hard, you never know how much horse you have left\".
Romans on Dullahan: \"I\'m more uptoght this year than I was last year. I have a good feeling about Dullahan\".
Stevens on Hansen \"If this horse is in front turning for home he will fight you to the wire\".
Laison had a shoe issue after his workout. Stepped on himself , tore off the shoe. Reshod, no problems says Baffert.
Maker on Hansen: \"Ideally, Trinniberg draws the 1, Bodemiester draws the 2 and we draw the 13.\"
