I don\'t think I\'ve heard this one considered. Reveron has the following going for him: he developed some foundation in getting to a competitive number as a two year old, quickly moved forward a point first start in 2012, reacted slightly then improved another 2 points in the FLA Derby, he has enough tactical speed to get position but has never been in the lead at the first call in his life, has never finished out of the money in his life and (the best part) he is 65 - 1 in the Wynn future pool.
So here you have a runner who could win the race without running a new top although given his pattern, a new top wouldn\'t be crazy, at a big price. Union Rags has been knocked because he couldn\'t get past Reveron in the FD but maybe Reveron is better than the public is recognizing. Now to the negative is the fact that he has never run outside of Florida, his sire says distance limitations but his broodmare sire is Awesome Again (although her offspring have not shown much of that influence) and his numbers have gotten better as the distances have gotten longer.
Reveron is not running in the KYD
I\'m with you on this one. Pretty fast at 2. Broke through first out this year. Only knocks are the little bounce 2 back and that he earned his best 2yo figures sprinting. Other obvious worry is how he\'ll react to his top in last. Could be viewed as a surging line. I expect to hear more about him when the analysis comes out.
Why not? Earnings?
injury
thanks for the update.
I\'m somewhat relieved to know this. Thanks. What kind of injury?
