Title: 37%
Post by: Silver Charm on February 10, 2012, 11:32:28 AM
Hard to believe this Todd Pletcher win percentage at Gulfstream this meet. When you consider he has started nearly 100 horses and almost none are Claimer ram jobs.

By no means am i saying anything other than this is an amazing statistic and there have probably has been a hand full of races where he had multiple starters.

AMAZING!!!

They winter down there (trained after the yearling sales) and are targeted for this meet, of course.  So they don\'t have to get shipped in, adjust to heat, new hay, humidity, different climate and track surface, etc. like travelers only wintering down there for the meet have to adjust.   That\'s an astute advantage.  You\'re right, 37% is impressive.

The testing at GP is so random, if at all in some instances.

Good trainers get better horses and voila, their win % goes up.

Not really that difficult when you get 70+ NEW,expensive, well bred, quick worked at sales horses, every year(in all divisions)

Certain conspiracy idiot owner from prominent NY Racing family shipped many out of Florida(back to NY) cause \"Pletcher is using illegal drugs\" Fails to mention most of his runners, from his serious black type broodmares, cant outrun a fat man.

Miff you know what you are talking about but 37% isnt THAT easy. They do unveil a lot of Blow Out maiden winners each Meet and about the time July rolls around over half are going the other way. But there are the Miz Implazibles types who are always ready when asked. This is not an easy meet and there are a lot of good people down there with good horses. And this Outfit is kicking the crap out of them right now.....
