Another good card. GP is the place and for someone like me who complained a lot about the setup of the new facility the old one seems like a distant memory....
The alternate finish line has made a big difference in the predictability of the two-turn races.
How so? And how much was that change?
I can\'t provide a measure emperically. I can say with certainty, that with the exception of some pace aided results on the turf, the two-turn outcomes at GP have been demonstrated in the sheet patterns and raw sheet number advantages in my betting for the meet.
I had thought the alternate finish line was for 1 1/16 miles, not 1 1/8?
Did notice on the day of the Holy Bull that in one race the jocks missed the finish, as they sat up at the usual finish line.
Raining now down here and may persist off and on. Just heard from a Trainer the track was pretty wet now. Tough to say exactly what will stay on turf or come off now but all of this needs to be considered when handicapping tomorrows card.
Good Luck

I just heard the same thing from a non-Trainer (a Janitor, in fact). The rain is falling out of the sky, hitting the ground, and making it wet. Like you, the Janitor is unsure whether the rain will persist off and on or simply persist on.
Rain should be done tomorrow morning. Won\'t help the turfers, but a shot at a fast track at least.
Track sloppy, turf good as of Noon...
