It\'s been awhile since one jumped off the paper and screamed Frank D. BET ME !!!!
Maybe It\'s early spring fever, withdraw from daily plunging, a decent wagering race card or knowing that the Derby preps are just around the corner?
It\'s Me Mom looks like the perfect storm to me as long as the morning line odds hold close. I almost never flat bet a horse under 4 or 5 to 1 but may be willing to dip a bit under that level here. Rolling pick 3\'s with good races in the sequence of 4-8 will make it interesting as well.
Here\'s a filly who at 2 ran a 2.5 which is a big 2 year old number on any surface. The expected knockout followed taking 13 months and 2 gaps to get back to that number. She then pairs it and breaks through to a new top at the prime develop time of late 3 year old ready to turn 4 on dirt where her 2 previous efforts on the surface followed her knockout!
An inside draw, the speed of the race, (rail and speed at Gulfstream is never a bad thing for sure especially on a big race day) getting weight from horses whom are no faster than she and a jockey trainer combo that strikes at 27% where individually they are 16% & 14%.
One of these ladies is going to have to jump up and run 1- or faster to beat her and I just don\'t see it.
Good luck,
Frank D.
Good luck, but Pomeroy is possibly faster, had a good race over the track and is working lights out at a facility where many better horses train. Mom is coming off the strange Tampa surface she obviously loves, is no faster and will be pressed by others. Musical is 0 for 4 at Gulfstream, drifted in her big win and has to come in off training alone. Pomeroy.
Will knock heads with you here, too, alm, and go with Derwin\'s Star. As mentioned in ROTW, Klesaris good layoff trainer, especially with this horse.
Wishing I was in Vegas, so some other plays today:
GP R4: #1 Forest Legend being overlooked at 22-1 right now, should get a good trip on the rail behind the speed duel of the 9 and 11.
GP R8: Hoohwhy #8 always outruns his odds and seems to fit here at a price.
That\'s some good analysis.

Hope you got every bit of that $37.40. Outstanding call on Race 8.
