Title: Sunshine Millions Classic
Post by: drbillym on January 27, 2012, 03:45:34 AM
Duke of Mischief is listed as 6-1 M/L, with DRF mentioning he finished a disappointing 5th in his last start.  Keep in mind, however, that in an interview on HRTVm 2 minutes before post time, David Fawkes said that the Duke was short.  And he raced like it, making a move at the top of the stretch and then fading.  This is the race they have been pointing for, and the competition doesn\'t look that tough.  Should be a fair price and and improved effort.

Good Luck to all TGer\'s in the tourney!

Yes, but.

Duke has had a handful of slow races in the past year...knowing Fawkes this doesn\'t inspire confidence.  Turbo looked like a million bucks on the track in his last, but is too short and didn\'t beat much there anyway.  Mucho will help make this race and may win it, but I think Ron the Greek is the fun horse to consider here.  Fast enough on his best, training at Payson, which is a Florida advantage and ridden by a guy who does real well here.
