We always remember lousy rides, but this guy is in a zone. That ride one the favorite sunset sally in the 5th on the inner; gets to the front relatively easy, gets crazy busy coming out of the turn when challenged. Then relaxes about the 1/8 pole to let the filly get her breath, then finishes strong. Nothing from a betting standpoint as she was 4/5, but I appreciate watching a professional in the zone.
Don\'t worry, I\'ll be the first to bitch when he screws me out of a big score, but, for the time being, I\'m a big fan.
CC is old school. He was giving riding lessons to some of the best in the game decades ago.
He tries when he tries, which for many years now, has only been \"sometimes\". Trying on a 4-5 is definitely new for CC though.
