Title: Misty for me
Post by: covelj70 on November 03, 2011, 07:41:14 PM
I find it hard to believe that misty for me has won 4 group 1s in Europe without ever having run even a decent number. Her numbers would barely make her competitive in grade 3s here but she\'s won 4 group 1s there?

Seems suspicious.  I am using her tomorrow. I rarely question the figures but hers are tough to believe.

On average it does seem that most of the Euro\'s figs seem slow for the class they are running in...Does Red Rocks 06 sound familiar?

timeform has her at 122, racing post at 119, if that helps.

Seems like I struggle with this each year.  Past few years I have given extra credit to those foreign horses who are assigned a 120 or higher Timeform rating.  To me that\'s a Grade 1 figure!

Much faster on Rags, 2 back, the fastest fig run by anyone in the race like, TG 1/2

When she runs her race she is top drawer, but her best races have been at the Curragh where she always performs.  Outside there, she is a little spotty.  O\'Brien is hot in the US this year, so that is a plus.

Does anyone know if this Euro horse ever went 3 turns? not to mention from start to be faced with first turn just 485 feet from gate..I do not know the Irish or French tracks but I imagine there are less turns and in some cases no turns.
