Not that it was a betting opportunity because he was only even money, but I believe we just saw the Honor and Serve that many thought we would see during the 3 year old campaign.
The track is a bit quick today, but it almost never yields fast times at 1 1/8 or 1 1/4. 1:48 and a piece, while pressing a good pace, is a very strong performance, even against a soft field. My bet would be whatever number he gets will trump what the Travers winner gets.
BTW, I believe that it could be the start of a nice weekend for Mott. I believe he is very live, at a decent price on Aviate, off the wide trip last time out. I also think Raison d\'Etat is very live at a very good price in the Travers. Off the paired numbers, with the last earned on a very very tiring track, while chasing a lone speed, he is primed for a forward move IMO. Bret impeccably by AP INdy, out of Sightseek, the Frankel monster from a number of years ago, he should love the 1 1/4. 10-1 seems about right.
