Even if Saratoga remains dry for most of the day Saturday, I wonder how the handle will be affected with most of the east coast shutting down in advance of the storm? The Pacific Classic will be also impacted again by handle. If the power goes out or the east coast venues are closed on Sunday, which is a possibility, that\'s a lot of cash that won\'t be wagered at Del Mar for Sunday. Not sure when the rain is supposed to hit Saratoga but this is a huge storm.
I watched the 11 PM news in Albany and Sunday looks like 6\" of rain with winds up to 70 MPH. If the forecast doesn\'t change, expect Saratoga to cancel Sunday\'s card.
If Irene hits the Northeast as a Cat 3, there will be millions of dollars of
property damage and the potential for the loss of life
... its encouraging to know that someone is worried how this will affect the
handle on the Pacific Classic...
Not that there\'s anything wrong with that. Any opinions in Saturday\'s P4 at
Saratoga?
It\'s all about priorities baby!

Monmouth is morte, both Saturday and Sunday.
Where is Frank D with his \"Racing is Dying\" theme!!! Irene is bringing the dagger on Travers weekend!!!
Announced on the 6:00 news in Albany
Perfect!
Instead of watching a slop-fest from LRD tomorrow, I\'ll be watching 3 grade 1 races live next Saturday!
Who\'s all going?
Michael:
I\'m signed up for one last chance at Spa glory.
See you Saturday.
Now the pressure is really on...
Richie, I will not lose on Saturday. I refuse to lose.
...
When it comes to the 3 yr olds, ain\'t it funny how we\'re right back to where we started? Mo and THAS look like the best, and the rest stink? Just like it was in January?
Did Thirsty really win that thing with a perfect trip 2:03?
I really should know this imho - but with the hurricane and all I\'m having difficulty recollecting which Monday track is the \"FE\" abbreviation for ! . ..any guesses ?

The 3YOs kind of separate now, with some looking at the Pa Derby and the Super
Derby, others looking for glory against their elders.
THAS and Royal Delta, Mott\'s superstar 3YOs, are very good when they are good,
but do not seem to have the consistency necessary to be considered
championship caliber.
MO was exceptional yesterday, tiring in the final 1/16th (on the wrong lead?);
watching the race in real time I thought he had no worse than a dead heat,
which would have sunk yours truly.
I look forward to taking a strong stand against Stay Thirsty in his next start,
assuming his next start is not at the Spa. Now 3 for 4 at the Spa, he shows
early zip here he doesn\'t seem to show anywhere else. Brilliant tactical ride
by Javier using a burst of gate speed to pressure Shackleford before taking
back a bit.
