Title: Sydney
Post by: alm on July 31, 2011, 01:54:36 PM
Waiting for the TAP Sydney to show up and annhiliate the field, but can\'t help thinking TAP didn\'t enter the other horse for exercise and Sydney has been run down in 5 of his last 7 races.  This may be more competitive than the odds suggest.  I\'ve got him covered but would prefer another here.

Every jockey not named John Velasquez should be embarassed by their performance in that race.

you know, Blues Street was tempting, but you had to ask yourself, would Toddy give that horse the usual tender loving care , and risk embarrassing SC?

I\'m thinking Todd\'s doing so well, he might consider heading off to Washington to help out. Couldn\'t hurt.

And I still cant believe Lukas is 2% wins in graded stakes according to Equibase.

I agree about the way the race developed, but for what it\'s worth, the next race was the one I really wanted...it\'s over and I don\'t mean to crow over it, but Wolfson\'s horse was my upset horse.  You might ask, how do you pick one like that in a graded stakes?  No real record to rely on.  It\'s all about the trainer change and shows what a trainer with a great vet can do for an animal.  I was betting that combo here.

Lukas\' trademark move for the past ten years has been to run anything with four legs from his barn in a big stakes race so he can get some airtime...not surprised at all that he is terrible in these races.
