the next time I ignore fillies with Mr. Prospector pedigree will be the last time. Normally I have a lot of common sense....really.
You had lots of company. Very little betting action on that winner, despite looking huge in the parade.
Mott fts stats a little weak, and if they knew, they weren\'t talking.
Very tough horse to have IMO. Mott FTS stats more than a little weak. His horses these first few days also NOT running well. Dead on the board. Tough to bet.
That said, as somebody who singled Chorus Music and then the Pletcher in the Pick-4 and went 7 deep without coming up with the Mott horse, I had a very sick feeling in my stomach when Edgar \"never sends\" Prado, put an AP Indy firster on a clear lead on a speed favoring turf course.
Speed favoring track or not, that was a very very strong performance. They couldn\'t pull the horse up after the race to get him back to the winner\'s circle. He was \"King Kong\"....
She\'s a full sister to Lanes End winner Adriano. Wasn\'t there some other major negative stat on AP Indy\'s at Saratoga?
Yes, but I have heard two different versions of the AP Indy stat, not sure which one is true.
1. No first time starter from AP Indy has ever won going 6 furlongs or shorter at Saratoga in the history of the track.
2. No first time starter from AP Indy has ever won at any distance at Saratoga.
Somebody brought it up at the seminar last year opening weekend when an Asmussen firster by AP Indy was taking oodles of money. I want to say it was Astrology. He got beat. (not sure if TGAB brought it up or another seminar attendee)
Jim
I believe that was TGAB that said this last year. It was 6f or less.
Bill did mention at the seminar today that this horse had a fast sib and another guest added that it was a full brother.
