Title: CCA Oaks

Great race. Typical Saratoga. Don\'t let anyone tell you the best racing in the USA isn\'t at Saratoga. Nothing is even close.

1-Buster\'s Ready: A few things in her favor today in the rematch with Delta. I like the rail and she has a fitness edge on Delta. Does JR send? I think she\'ll be very tough today.

2-Plum Pretty: I still have questions about her class. I\'d be willing to take a stand against her today.

3-Joyful Victory: I think she has to step it up to beat these, but you could argue she might get a good set up as a closer in what should be a fast-paced race. Still not for me.

4-Royal Delta: Awesome filly, and after her Pimlico coming out party, I thought she is something very special, but with all deference to Mott, a mile and one eighth at Saratoga off a two month layoff??? A rail run like she got a Pimlico would help, but a three wide sweep, well, I have a hard time seeing that. I guess I\'ll let her beat me.

5-It\'s tricky: wow, she gave Turbulent Descent a beating, that\'s no small feat. What\'s coming today??? The post is tricky-does she fire out and try to take them wire to wire? I\'m not sure. I don\'t think JR can/will give up the rail.

I\'ll go with Buster to win if I can any decent price. Use Buster in Pick 4\'s as a single.

This is a \'yes, but\' look at your picks.

It\'s a nice spot for BR, but she\'s too slow to beat RD.  The last thing JV will do with any horse in this spot is to send it.  IMO

PP is a different horse on the dirt...has a shot in here.

I love Larry Jones, but JV needs to run much faster to beat this bunch.  Don\'t see it at all.

RD will roll over them...check her second last workout...she\'s ready.

IT got her number in the mud...if she gets mud again, maybe she doesn\'t bounce so much...if not, a major regression is in store.

I normally wouldn\'t bet this race, but I may simply take a shot at a cold exacta with RD over PP.  I think it\'s the most likely outcome.

For me the pace is the hard thing to figure. I can\'t see JR giving up the rail. I know he\'d probably rather stalk, as would most. I can\'t agree w/you on PP, but in your favor, the workout analyst I subscribe to said PP\'s last work was stellar! I don\'t think she\'s this good. Very few horses roll over anyone at a mile and 1/8 at Saratoga. If RD does, despite the missed training and having to rally, then she is a truly spectacular filly! Good luck.

Keep looking over this, I keep coming back to \"no play\".   But how many times does it need to be said.. Baffert doesn\'t ship horses for shits and giggles.

Plum Pretty\'s best romps here and I gotta like her here at a decent 3-1 or 7/2 price.
