Title: Tagg Today
Post by: alm on July 09, 2011, 09:31:03 AM
Recently there was some discussion about a Barclay Tagg shipper into Arlington...I think the horse ran fourth.  There appears to me to be a far more interesting and compelling Tagg runner at Monmouth today, in the Long Branch Stakes...11th race.  Jack London recently broke its maiden with a breakout number...but appears overmatched in this spot.  Maybe not.

Tagg must think he has a shot and the horse is working very well.  He could have entered him in far easier spots off the maiden win, but rested the horse and pointed him here.  Odds should be very good.

Will be in allowance race at Belmont tomorrow, but 8/5 M/L. The thing with Barclay is NEVER bet him as a favorite-terrible ROI.
