Does this seem as strange to you as it does to me?
Check tomorrow\'s 10th at Calder (yeah, I know)...look closely at Famous Patriot. He was claimed 2 back by Frank Calabrese from Blue Top Holding Stables, trainer Jorge Navarro. And then he was turned over to....Jorge Navarro.
Then he\'s run back on June 18th and runs what may be his fastest race in a year. Is Blue Top a little miffed? I mean, what did trainer Navarro figure out that trainer Navarro missed since he claimed the horse 2 months before?
Did they approve his moving their horse this way? And what did Calabrese see that they didn\'t see? They may see a winner tomorrow.
Now I am not trying to tout anyone onto a favorite, not on this board...but I will be mighty surprised if this horse doesn\'t repeat the effort, which will win this race. If it comes off the grass, he may even get odds since there are several MTO horses entered that have beaten him before...but maybe not this time.
