Great article about Pittsburgh Phil on the drf.com website. Good to see JB was mentioned among the present elite(last paragraph).
I\'m not so sure about the analogy, but then I haven\'t read Phil\'s book. Meanwhile, the guy who should be getting WAY more credit is Donaldson (for those who don\'t know, see \"History Lesson\" in the Archives of this site).
Don\'t be so modest, the analogy is in the inventiveness and uniqueness of the approach, not the plunging at the windows(I don\'t think).
I thought Pittsburgh Phil was the guy who poked you in the head with an icepick? Murder Inc.? Electric chair? I looked it up on Amazon and this Pittsburgh Phil book costs like $100. What\'s it all about? Are his insights really worth the C-note? As good as Dan Geer\'s Pro-Rated Longshots?

HP,
You\'ll get the C-note back in a hurry because one of his insights is that you should stay away from women at the racetrack.
That\'s not too hard. Except for one or two days a year how many women are at the track? HP
At Del Mar? Enough to earn Pittsburgh Phil his reputation for wisdom.
Same with Arlington Park. Every weekend.....every weekend

The Untouchables? Take liberties with the truth? Unpossible!
I thought he was the funny-looking fellow who is on TV every February 2nd.
From the article it sounded as if bringing women to the track was taboo.Times
have changed. The man sounds like a genious and considering the view towards women during that period his was consistent. However,I know this to be currently
false only because i\'ve experienced the opposite first hand.
