Great patient ground saving ride in the Bluegrass Stakes.

Yesterday he got that horse beat IMO.

Couldn\'t agree more.  Brilliant Speed was wide every step on a day when the inside paths looked like the place to be. The trip finally took its toll in the last 16th. Conversely, I thought Nakatani put Nehro in a very nice spot--which made his 4th place effort all the more disappointing.

Overhead camera view clearly shows BS being steered widest, probably out of kickback with no chance of being stopped. Many horses have serious issues with running inside or in and amongst horses. For whatever reason they run their best off the fence in the clear.

For example Belmont winner Rags to Riches had serious issues covered up along the inside(would not run a step) and was purposely keep widest of all in many of her races. Check her sheet in the TG RB room.

Yesterday was BS day, mostly all in on him, wide trip took it\'s toll at the 1/16th pole.

He started to work his way over towards the rail nearing the first turn then for some reason swung out wide. That made no sense.

The rest of it was a too early wider move on the second turn.He had some dead horses in front of him got nervous and pushed the button way too soon.

Wait a while longer or else angle inside at that point and wait for a hole to open up.Best horse-bad ride.I could be wrong but a different ride and he wins the race.

Mike you\'re probably right about the kickback but he didn\'t seem to mind it at Keeneland and being in traffic.Different surface maybe?

I\'m just venting-went all in on BS yesterday.Already over it-off to bet some trotters at Harrah\'s Chester.
