Title: Canadian Triple Crown
Post by: Frost King on August 08, 2003, 08:04:27 PM
Could Wando be an 0-2-X horse on Saturday? His last five races are (5-3),(5-3),(4-2),(2-2) and a (5-3). He ran 3 pts off his top. Could he pitch completely going 1.5 miles on the grass? He will be heavily bet tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

It\'s possible but good horses shouldn\'t be 0-2-Xing. Even with the bounce last out, his 3yo line is pretty solid. However, even though he ran a top on turf last year, dirt does seem to be his preferred surface, the one for which he\'s bred the best. A new top seems unlikely but a pair up of his last or some forward movement still makes him tough in here, especially since he saves ground.

But he is vulnerable. The rail horse is good on turf and there\'s a long shot, especially well bred for turf and distance, that has to jump up but may just do so at a price.

Good luck.
