Can\'t see it. Imagine the goal for both is (obviously) BC Classic at CD.
If they run at Belmont, figure them away from the races until Sept. Two preps and
into the BC?
There has been a logic repeated here and there \"they can\'t possibly come back
strong in just 2 weeks, BUT if they do, come back strong against them in the
Belmont.\"
I do not think we will have the chance, especially with Shackleford. Are they
really going to send this son of Forestry 1-1/2 miles?.
AK seems like distance might not be a problem. Any distance. I\'d like to see him
stick around for a while, maybe even thrown back on the turf. Based on his
condition, and the quality of the Belmont field, I can not say that I would feel
comfortable wagering in the horizontals and excluding AK.
A better betting race without them? Dunno.
ResortsWorld/NYRA going to step up and increase the purse if both go?
IF AK runs will Motion send him to Belmont for a few days of acclimation, or keep
him down on the farm?
Can AK run 3 sharp TC races in 5 weeks? Most haven\'t been able to recently, but he
might be able to.
Does a colt racing in the all 3 TC races risk an injury down the road, an injury
which might cause them to miss the BC, or worse an injury which results in
retirement to stud?
That is the important question for the connections of Shekel
and AK.
I don\'t understand running AK in the Belmont either.What\'s the point now and why press three races into five weeks?
Maybe the Va Derby and you can always get him back on dirt for the Travers.
Shackleford is gonna run unless something is wrong with him.Romans doesn\'t sit out big races. That horse gets stamina from his mother-I don\'t think you can toss him.He has a better chance of staying than First Dude IMO.
I\'m trying to get interested in Alternation.
