Title: Mineshaft - Suburban
Post by: Betsy on July 07, 2003, 04:08:37 PM
Hi all....

I\'m a newbie here.

I\'m a huge Mineshaft fan, and was thrilled to be able to see his Suburban effort in person.

He really won very easily, finishing in 24 and change for the 1 1/4. I know he got a -5 for the Stephen Foster, and I was wondering what kind of number he got for the Suburban.

What were everyone\'s impressions of Mineshaft on Saturday?

Thanks!

Welcome Betsy. It\'s nice to see a distaff post. My impression of Mineshaft is that he is now the top dirt handicap horse in America. The bad news was his unfortunate  loss to Perfect Drift. The good news is that Azeri looks like she has a legitimate shot to break Cigar\'s record for consecutive wins, and her owner recently indicated that he was inclined to keep her in training next year if she had a shot to break a record which his father tied campaigning Cigar.
