Laughable, simply laughable. I\'ll go on record here and say NONE, repeat NONE of these will win the Classic. (wellll, maybe Volponi, heh heh heh) At this point in time, I\'d take Azeri over all of them. To leave her off the list proves these guys are truly numbskulls! jmnsho ;-)
I think Redattore probably deserves a little more respect in the Mile.
Chris
Why would you say none of them will win. M. D\'Oro will only race 2 more times before the classic and is definitely the horse to beat. Getting hurt a little earlier in the year was a blessing in disguise.

1--Moon Ballad--GB--Saeed bin Suroor--125
Moon Ballad ran a huge \'X\' following the Dubai race, approx a -2 perhaps that effort hurt him.
2--Empire Maker--USA--Robert Frankel--123
Ranking is ridiculous! The bi/bo notations for EM in two of his last three, documented foot problems, plus too slow at the moment.
2T--Funny Cide--USA--Barclay Tagg--123
They had their 15 minutes. He\'s developed alot as a 3yo needs a rest which will not be forth coming. No BC threat
2T--Medaglia d\'Oro--USA--Robert Frankel--123
I\'m not convinced he\'s a true 10f performer, didn\'t beat much the times he did run this year and that was a serious hoof injury in his stall. Haven\'t heard he\'s even jogging yet.
5--Mineshaft--USA--Neil J. Howard--121
In his 3 wins with lasix who has he beaten? Pim Spec at least a -2, Not sure he\'ll get the proper spacing before hand (scheduled to run in Stephen Foster) 10f still a question mark.
5T--Ten Most Wanted--USA--Wallace Dollase--121
Another 3yo who has developed plenty, might be the best of this crop after he retires in 18 months, we\'ll see how he reacts to the neg # in the Belmont Being based on the left coast helps however.
5T--Congaree--USA--Bob Baffert--121
A good horse finally allowed to race as a 5yo. All the big neg #\'s will take their toll (-4 at Aqu last fall) There\'s a better posibility he\'ll be in the BC Mile/Sprint than the Classic.
8--Peace Rules--USA--Robert Frankel--120
Frankel has always said he\'s not a 10f horse, I finally believe him, won\'t contest this race.
9--Volponi--USA--Philip G. Johnson--117
If Johnson can avoid racing him too much might have a shot, got the nice rest before the start of this campaign. Not sure the \"secret code horse\" can pull the trick again.
9T--Harlan\'s Holiday--USA--Todd A. Pletcher--117
Totally Pletcherized with two -3\'s early this year. Don\'t believe he wants any part of 10f.
I just don\'t see it with this bunch, too much too early??? We\'ll see who might be peaking in late October.
Only went to Ascot one day, cashed Nayef against Moon Ballad, made for a small profit for the day. It\'s shocking how little data there is to work with over there-- almost enough to get a guy thinking...
Spent the day in the Royal Enclosure (no, that does not mean you get to hang out with Brenda, it means you stand around with a lot of other people wearing top hats and tails, yes there are pictures, I may post one here). Highlight of the whole trip wasn\'t Westminster Abbey etc., it was walking into the men\'s room at Ascot and seeing a row of guys in hats and tails standing at the urinals.
Did the Foster before I left, Mineshaft is aptly named, as he ran the lowest number we have ever given out. It was ridiculously fast, and probably the straw that broke this camel\'s back, and I plan to add several points (probably 5) to the database sometime soon.

The World Thoro Rankings:
5--Mineshaft--USA--Neil J. Howard--121
Give me a break--Gets weight from the 3YO and gives only 1 pound to Peace Rules.
As someone who was lucky enough to have the Exacta of Perfect Drift/Mineshaft, I said to a friend of mine after the race that there was no question who the better horse was.
Also considering how far they \"aired\" Alderberan and Crafty Shaw (yes the same Crafty Shaw MDO beat two lengths Oaklawn) we also commented no telling what the number was going to be.
Well I guess we kind of know now. I was only using the Thoro-Quik that day but Mineshaft may have had the BEST LINE IN HISTORY.
Seriously, if you haven\'t taken a look you need to.
TGJB, the move Albarado made on the turn reminded me of the move Chavez made with Behrens on the turn in the Whitney a couple of years ago. I think you guys in the office probably remember which Whitney I\'m talking about.
Empire Maker,
He has the greatest jockey of all time.
The greatest trainer of all time.
The greatest pedigree of all time.
By the time the Breeders Cup comes around he will be running negative numbers regardless of how far Brown slides his scale.
Now, THERE\'S something we could bet on.
OPM,
I have two words of advice for you regarding MDO--Mizzen Mast.
Ran twice early in the year only never to return.
If MDO is on the work tab I sure haven\'t heard if you have enlighten me.
I don\'t like all the excuses with all the big races coming up.
Besides there were some people who thought I was going to win the KY Derby so why can\'t I win the BC Classic.
TGJB \"It\'s shocking how little data there is to work with over there-- almost enough to get a guy thinking...\"
Been thinking about it for a while. I still believe Australia would be even better.
