Moving to NY this Spring. Is there a train to Saratoga from the city on weekends?
Yes, and not just weekends. And it\'s my favorite trip anywhere. Train goes along 30 feet from the Hudson for 2 hours, sit on the left side going up. There\'s one a day that stops at Saratoga (and one coming back after the races), but they leave every half hour for Albany, where you can rent a car and drive the last half hour.
If you see a guy with stacks of paper doing track speeds, that\'s me.
Jerry or any TG users...The train from LA to Solana Beach stops very near our house about noon every day. No need for a rental car. I\'ll run you over to the track or the ocean, your choice. See you on opening weekend, Rich Curtis...Yes, that an invitation.

Pretty long drive to Saratoga from there.
Have Neubauer drive. He handled that demanding drive from the Arcadia Residence Inn to The Derby Restaurant with such aplomb.
Actually, it was the Hilton Garden Inn which was a much further drive...
Yes, that journey might have gotten to the bottom of a quarter horse with anemia.
Shanny, I think TGJB is confusing the Amtrak to Albany with the 8th Avenue local. The Albany trains leave Penn Station every hour or two (although the ride is as delightful as he claims). About 2 hours to Albany and another half-hour by rental car to the Spa. It\'s a tough day trip from NYC. If you can stay for a night or two you will be happy to have the rental.
Shan:
Welcome to the \'hood.
Maybe we can take a ride upstate and visit your favorite former owner.
Richie,
You know your not allowed north of Albany without an escort ! Better see if Pierce Brosnan is avaialable ?
We do need time to hide the non kool aide drinkers and to see if we can still find Ballantine Ale ?
Frank:
I\'m gonna need your help with a list of hotels NOT involved in labor disputes
this year.
No fun having to cross picket lines to access your room like I did last year.
