Not sure how good this field is, but I took a look at the race since it was graciously offered as the ROTW.
1. In Step: Looks like a million and they paid a million -- in no way did she strike me as a sprinter though -- seems strange to cut back with her??? I might try as the ROTW analyst suggests to beat her this time around.
2-Full Moon Blues: I suppose you want her in the mix though visually she didn\'t impress me all that much. Odds are good, might get a good trip.
3-Roman Treasure: I really like this filly & think she has a future. Depends on how much pace pressure she\'ll get today. I might take a swing if the odds are fair. She\'s as good as any of these.
4-Dream: Well, she won about as easy as you can at Laurel -- not sure who she beat though. She is a typical Malibu Moon, meaning she looks terrific. Why no lasix though??? I think seven furlongs might suit her better, too. I\'m not sold on her either way. Can\'t toss/don\'t love either.
5-Quantum Miss: A real Dutrow puzzler? Which Miss shows up? Your guess is as good as mine. Looked she couldn\'t breathe in her last for what that\'s worth. I have no clue what\'s coming today. Did Dutrow abandon the juice recently?
6-Wild About Sonny: Her local debut didn\'t impress me, maybe better with a race over the track. Decent odds.
7-Coax Liberty: I think the last race was pretty weak overall, but she won very well. I suppose she\'s not the worst longshot; she is a decent looking filly for what its worth -- Cohen bails to the million dollar filly on the rail. I wouldn\'t be surprised if this filly beat her today though. I might use her in exotics.
Overall: I\'m most interested in Roman Treasure. If I get fair odds, I may play her; otherwise, I\'ll watch. I like Coax Liberty a little at a price. I\'ll probably take a stand against In Step at this distance, and I\'m not convinced Dream is all that. Good Luck.
This is my post from 2/28:
A Filly to Follow
I saw an amazing filly at Aqueduct Sunday. Roman Treasure. Follow her, she will take you places. What a marvelous mover she is! You notice her from about 25 yards away -- she takes your breath away.
