Title: Old Sheets
Post by: SoCalMan2 on February 15, 2011, 10:32:55 AM
I seem to recall at one point that Thorograph was selling an auction-related product.  Does such a product exist?  When and how does one get it?  Something I am curious to see is the sheet for certain stallions. Are such sheets included in the auction package? Is there a way to purchase old sheets?  Apologies if this is all obvious and I am missing the boat on it.

The products for major auctios are available on the Jockey Club site, samples are there as well. I\'m going to take the high road and not discuss their ability to get the word out.

Thanks!  After some digging, I finally found the sample of the product (the sample sire is Pulpit).  However, there is no actual sheet for Pulpit.  Rather there is only a sire profile which is about his offspring rather than about himself as a racehorse.  I noticed in the sample that the sheets are included for the first dam and the second dam.  Is there a way to purchase vintage sheets for stallions?  It looks like the dam\'s sheets go for $15 a piece.

If the horse in question raced since 1993 or so they\'ll be in our data base, and you can get the sheet by putting in a regular sheet request, which costs $25. Sheets for horses that raced before that (handwritten) are in storage, it ain\'t gonna happen-- I\'m not sending someone digging through them.
