Title: Blame
Post by: Silver Charm on November 06, 2010, 07:25:30 AM
The track was good to runners who like it yesterday. The rail was not great so the ground saving trip angle is kinda moot. And I don\'t mean 5W is good.

Quality Road gets short late. Gomez gets the jump on Z. And I get the green.

I may just watch and wait all day and go \"all in\" here!

Just watched the replay and Denmans call was not good.

Barking Zenyatta, Zenyatta, Zenyatta thre times in a row and then \"Blame is trying to hold on\"

Zenyatta \"ran her heart out but had to settle for second\". Then during the gallop out \"Well Blame got the perfect trip\". Excuse me for winning another words. Whatever happened to \"Blame digging down and finding more\".

This was a historic day of racing. We saw things in Goldikova and \"the body of work Zenyatta\" validated that we will never see again.

Blame winning wasn\'t a mistake. Who wins Horse of the Year is probably now going to be a suspenseful debate. If the Mare wasn\'t in the race the Classic was just another BC Classic. So even in defeat she wins Horse of the Year.

But Blame doesnt need to apoligize to anyone for being the best horse today.......

Ease up on Denman.

Durkin was practically sobbing when Easy Goer didn\'t get up.

I saw that replay the other day. Easy Goer was not a 100%. Maybe a worse opening quarter than Zenyatta. Laboring lead change down the stretch.

As Jimbo pointed out in \"Observations\" Blame went to another gear when he sensed Zenyatta. I was sitting at the 1/16th pole and when they went by I was sure she was going by. 50 yds away however he had her measured.

This was a spectacular Race. Epic. Maybe the best I\'ve ever seen considering what was percieved to be on the line. The fact that she was held sway by one runner shouldnt dismiss the fact she dusted 10 other colts. And dusted them good.

That has to be one of the greatest horse racing photos ever taken!
