Goldikova, Gio Ponti, Proviso......catch the upsetter and you\'re going to Disney World.
Good Luck,
Joe B.
Joe B,
I was talking about that very same thing with a friend of mine this morning.
That is going to be one awesome race.
Courageous Cat looked good in the stretch before tiring. Any chance that Billy was using the Shadwell as a prep for the BC and that CC will be much tighter in a few weeks for the big one?
CC be 35-1, will at least make me think twice.
Maybe YOU\'RE going to Disney World, Joe.
As George Clooney offered as an alternative heavenly reward for martyrs ... \"I\'ll take six pros\".
And don\'t forget Sidney\'s Candy.
Gio Ponti may become the first horse in history to opt for the Classic in search of an easier spot.
If Gio Ponte goes in the Mile....then he has found his \"easy spot\"
You heard it here first.;)
Court Vision. Will he be fresh enough off race at Woodbine?
Another Euro 1st lasix to do in the reigning Queen?
at the risk of being a complete idio, I thought Goldikova looked all out in her prep and seemed to be laboring at the end. I\'m tossing
No more sounding like an idiot than me saying I think Sidney\'s Candy is the next Lure.
Good Luck,
Joe B.
Joe B,
I guess Sidney\'s Candy has no shot then, as he is carrying WAY too much weight, as I have been making that same Lure-Sidney\'s Candy analogy since that turf race that Sidney ran last time out, which blew me away (I didn\'t see the figure, but not sure I have to, as whatever it is it won\'t take into consideration the way he was pushed relentlessly early and still blew it wide open).
It was impressive and while I didn\'t redboard (I thought about it) I\'m guessing it was about a 2 maybe a 3.
But he needed this last race. He has only had two starts since May 1st and that is just not enough work.
Will he be tough on the front end out of traffic and sving some ground while getting a few lbs. YES!
The Chart said up by 13 at the 8th Pole and won by 5. That was not a strong field and all the missed racing inbetween makes hime to big a question mark. These are good horses he has to beat here!
Paco Boy confirmed to run. Btn nk,nk,0.5L in three attempts by Goldikova this season. Retires to stud after this race, owners want one last shot against the mare.
Maybe, but Lure blew his field away on a firm Gulfstream course...this is Churchill...very different.
Al,
Good point, many horsemen leary of the quirky turf course at CD.Highly probable that some horses will \"X\" for no apparent reason.Weather at CD, over the next few weeks, could play big role in the outcome of the BC turf races.
From memory,Lure had the track record at CD for 9f on the weeds.

Alm:
Good point. It would be as impressive as Lure if SC wired at Churchill. IMO layoff does not compromise his chances but will increase his value.
Good Luck,
Joe B.
... \"easy spot\", eh?
