Blame wasn\'t the only horse yesterday that was put to a hard drive early and flattened. Paddy O\'Prado also was and may have seen the whip before he saw the quarter pole!
I\'m not an expert on this, TG is! But the Tiznow types who who were hard ridden in their Preps, put in a limited punch and fire their BEST NEXT OUT on BC Day are far and few between!
Tiznow could be considered an exception because he was already a Champion in the race. Therefore proven at the distance and hey One Turn didn\'t bother him!
Not every BC winner comes off a Prep-Race win but when I see a horse getting seriously pushed along and has a limited response its difficult to overlook next time out!
Tough to read anything out of those 2 turf races yesterday. They were incredibly slow and run over a swamp. Paddy got run down buy a tough veteran in Winchester and he had never experienced anything like the ground he ran on yesterday. It was only his 4th turf race. Running through quick sand may be a valuable training tool going forward ?
Good Points but this horse was still a maiden in March has been in constant training and just looked like he had to be strongly urged to start running when he needed to.
Better horses then him like Sky Classic ran out of steam by the time Nov rolled around. I\'m thinking he is a toss.
