Title: Dr. Frankelstein and the Monster E.M.inem
Post by: Anonymous User on May 14, 2003, 02:23:28 PM
Bobby Frankelstein withdrew E.M.inem from Preakness consideration immediately after the Derby. Then he felt E.M.inem came out of the Derby well and said he was going to Pimlico. Then he reconsidered that opinion and withdrew him again. Then, the "Funny Ride" allegations developed and he got a call from the Churchill stewards and Bobby told the Pimlico people he was running. Then he reviewed the tape of the Funny Ride himself and said he was passing the race for the Belmont.

I find the vacillations intriguing. What do YOU think Frankelstein's actions say about:

1. The fitness of his horse?
2. E.M.inem's current form cycle?
3. His statements after losing the Derby that he ran the best horse?
4. The merits of Peace Rules in the Preakness?

I know E.M.inem scored out on figs faster than Funny. Is that all to consider?

I have my opinion, but I'm absolutely intrigued with these vacillations.

Lol
