Title: Secretariat-BevD-Million
Post by: Niall on August 18, 2010, 05:44:41 PM
Sorry to change tack on you fellow posters but was just wondering if there were any thoughts/opinions/guesses on the Arlington races ... Yes I know you probably havent seen the numbers. Euro shippers at first glance look a bit weak. Or are they? Definitely not what we are used to seeing. Kent eats that place alive. Horses for courses??? That prep usually holds its form ... Good luck to all !!

Early view: Secretariat and Beverly D look chalky.

I give Marsh Side a big chance with extra week off and Gio Ponti vulnerable with likely soft pace. Perhaps not as explosive as he was last year.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

How can the Bev D look chalky with a very shaky 4-1 ML fave?

BTW... 11 turf races on the card!!!

The winner likely to be Rainbow View or Treat Gently. If you can get 4-1 on either one of them, go get it.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

I\'m great at picking horses that are not running.

I\'m open to any opinions on Bev-D; no longer interested in the Miillion.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

Thats 2 for 2 Joe ! I\'m trying to sort out those Euro\'s - not going to \"rush to judgement on the Beverly D  -or on any AP races Saturday - yet . Perhaps if I could figure out what to do with the race - like whether to use a single or spread out in p-3\'s / 4\'s etc  . ..

You might want to consider shorting horses in the futures pools.

This is a tough crowd.

Ok.....here we try again. I will key ROMACCACA for 44 percent Nick Canani going heavier in the 2 hole with a backup in the 3 slot in triples.

Out of Running Stag and Kris S dam and a \"hot\" trainer, I will try her at 25-1 to last longer tomorrow in a arace and course where jocks tend to ride conservatively.

PS: If she scratches I surrender!!!

Good Luck,
Joe B.
