Title: Saratoga Rentals
Post by: Rick B. on July 08, 2010, 07:43:58 AM
Does anyone here have any knowledge of, or experience with, rentals on and around Saratoga Lake?

My buddy just landed a deal that seems almost too good to be true: 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, private dock, on the south end of the lake...10 days for $2300.

If the pictures are accurate and current, it is very nice inside...but nothing beats an in-person visit, and we can\'t pull that off, so we are at the mercy of the rental agent.

Any comments welcome, bluntness doubly so: it\'s probably a nice area, but if 3 or 4 people immediately write back and say \"Nice going -- that\'s where all the area meth cooks live\", well, we still have time to pull out.

Rental agents are full of s--t. Unless you know them well or have done business before, they embellish! The lake area is close to a place I used to rent and is ok. There is NO SUBSTITUTE for personal inspection. The price is very good if the place is clean and decent.Good Luck.

Did he use Tom Federlin? Racing City Realty? He is on the up and up ...

Also note that while it may not mean much as I have no idea, getting in and out of town via the bridge has been abysmal. One lane each way as its about to fall into the lake. Still, if you get what you think is reasonable for the $$ its a small inconvenience (I think)...

I can confirm what Niall said about Tom Federlin of Racing City. Carol Conti in his office is also good.
