This filly might have poled if the track hadn\'t become like beach sand. And the seven wide move on the turn coming from almost last when the form shows a stalker
Kent D has Just as Well on a four off trip when he is supposed to come from where Winchester did.
Fly Down sits in pocket instead of just outside and then can\'t get there with no room until late
Man today was brutal when it came to Race Shapes.
.
I thought Winchester might be tailing off with that backwards moving line. He must of got back to that zero to 1 range.
With Gio Ponte being less than 100% I was convinced the Manhatten was not a great field. A big one but not really great.
I also had Discreetly Mine. Where does a horse who drops back from a 1 and 1/4 non effort with two 49 breezes fly out of the gate and unnecessarily stalk a 44 half??
At 4-1 he was a good price and twice the price of 85 who if he ran against him 10 times he beats him 10 times.
$1M pIck Six Carryover for the Big Boys. Good weather yesterday. Rachel and Zenyatta coming up. Racing catching a few breaks.
For once.....
My bets seemed to have had questionable trips all day...but I can\'t get over the Fly Down trip.
The horse didn\'t place himself in a box, the jockey put him there. Sorry, but I was calling it a stupid ride ALL the way around. As slow as the race was I had a lot of time to fume.
For a moment I figured I just bet the wrong horse, but the final surge suggests I had the right horse with the wrong rider.
Let\'s think about how the outcome might have been different if Lezcano was riding FD and not IB. He is at least riding well right now and he has lots more guts than most of the colony at the top.
Alm there are three types of bad days.
1) The days you pick live horses and have bad luck on trips, etc.
2) the days where you bet bad. Write the tickets wrong. Small bets win. Big bets lose
3) Then there the days where you just stink.
I think I feel better when I stink.....lol
