Title: Belmont Race 8 Feature
Post by: nyc1347 on May 28, 2010, 11:57:37 AM
no time for a quality run down but...

the 3 ran a nice race last out but wouldnt think shed be fast enough in this field to win.. jackey and trainer are 0 for 6.

4 is off the shelf and no value.. first time pletcher and il let them beat me

5 is a dog and 6 is consistently OK..

check out the 2 horse Reforestation.  Had a very nice hard hitting spring/summer last year and then started to react off those efforts heading to the end of the year.  Got rest and came out with a decent comeback race.  Healthy 4yo and no reason to think she wouldnt come right back to where she needs to be this race 2nd off the layoff with only 3 weeks off in the same season she has run her best.  Shes got the numbers to win this and should go forward this race imo.  Hoping to get 5/2 or more. Good Luck!

I used that horse on top, too, but the seeds must not have taken hold...

A tiring 4th in a 5 horse field at 1.90-1.

disgusting.. when i saw her on the backstretch out of the gate i was not happy to say the least.. trying hard off the bat to set the pace and it was doom from that point...maybe it was the slop? who knows whatever.. but she def did not look like she picked up her feet that well..

Pletchers horse off the shelf.. u have 2 slower consistent horses and a dog...  i went fishing for a little value and i caught seaweed  =)  didnt go crazy though lost 200 and i wagered that at 5/2 to win!  no excuses she ran like garbage but man this was just a terrible race to bet on and watch.  it was like an allowance at thistledowns..  if u showed me both races i wouldnt have known the difference!

Dunno, she looked like she dug in gamely to preserve 4th

Your money management skills are exemplary. According to your posts,
most of your winning wagers seem to be in the thousands but your
losing wagers are in the hundreds

Actually, the winner of this race would seem to have a lot of upside.
She is now 3/5 lifetime, on a 3 race winning streak, and one of her
losses came to Derby filly Devil May Care. She could be a bet back
at a decent price if stretched out in stakes company at NYRA, Mth or
     Del...or even Thistledowns! (sic)

No speed horse ran well yesterday at Belmont if they were toward the inside.

my winning and losing wagers are in the thousands when i do my show wagers.  i only put a few hundo on refore cause it was a win wager in a short field and i took a stab to what i thought would be a $500 or so profit at the time of wager.
