Well right now I\'m kicking myself for not asking this sooner, perhaps the answer will allow me to rest a little easier.
What was Passinetti\'s top in 1999 and years prior? The reason I ask is because I was torn between him, Special Matter and Delta Form in the BRIS contest. Not knowing what it was, I gambled and said the 4.5\'s were his top and given the spacing and suspect soundness I\'ll take a stand against him. I gave him a 4.5 - 6.5 for the race and at the weights 4.5 made him very competitive. Yes, it was an error on my behalf. But knowing 4.5 was/is his top would make me feel a lot better. His win and place mutuel would have won me the contest instead of finishing 24th.
There\'s always next weekend.
Thanks.

Indeed, prior to the San Juan Capistrano Passinetti\'s last two races were his best
to date. In 1999, he 8-3/4 twice in the US (as the race summaries show (upper left of page) and we gave him an about figure of 8-1/2 at Lion d\'Angers on 7/3/99. He only ran once prior to 1999, a maiden race at Chantilly. We do not have a figure for that performance.
