very interesting race with what i believe to hold nice value.. lets goooo...
1 - Aikenite - has a great shot to go forward to that 3 (or beyond) after moving forward 0.5 points last out from that bounce 2 races ago. lightweight, will save ground, and offers 6-1 ML which is good value here.
2 - Buddys Saint - bounced last out and 3-1 ML.. i dont like that at all.
3 - Pulsion - developed nice then bounced. 12-1 ML is not enough for this horse as he would need a new multiple point top from a bounced effort. il leave out.
4 - Pleasant Prince - went backwards 1.75 points off a top effort but its important to note that the horse only had 11 days off and went longer. I think that is a great sign now entering this race with 33 days off and lightweight. should explode forward. 12 - 1 ML and looking niceee
5 - Jackson Bend - developed 15 points total and looking like an 0-2-X Pattern entering this race to me. il pass completely
6 - Prince Will I Am - Big top and would expect a bounce here with only 20 days off.
7 - Positive Split - triple paired those 9s which is way slow here and even a 5 point jump wouldnt do it here..ill pass
8 - Eskendereya - went thru his 2 year old top with no problems first out this year. expecting another nice race and anything around that 3.5 will be strong in this race. has a great shot to go forward too and 5-1 ML is good value.
9 - Lost Aptitude - all turf races and no indication that he will run great on dirt. would need multiple points forward to win and il pass.. wouldnt be surprised if they scratched this one just like radiohead in the hutch.
10 - Ice Box - has gone forward almost every race and now a new horse after the layoff. im expecting a new top today.. 10-1 ML looks pretty good but a use under for me.
overall - in my opinion, the faves to me are extremely vulnerable this race. it seems like everyone else on the board is thinking this is a no brainer with the faves. but the 4 horse to me looks like the play and has proven to go forward multiple points with no problem thru time. also has gone the distance of 1 and 1/8 and did great with 11 days off last out. 12-1 ML and beautiful rest into the race sticks out big. I cant really pass on the opportunity here with the exacta wheel and will play the 4 with the 1, 8, 10 and reverse that as a cover. big value so no need to go crazy so i will play $100 WPS on the 4 along with the exacta wheel.
