Title: Solis...
Post by: TGJB on February 13, 2010, 04:20:01 PM
...is just unbelievably bad. That ride on My Baby Baby is legitimately as bad as I\'ve seen-- starting from the rail 3/2 on the first turn, 4w second turn, in a 6 horse field.

i couldn\'t belive it myself . imo - that really definately hurt MBB\'S chances a lot . couldn\'t help thinking at the time : \'there had better be a dead rail  . ..

..... MBB probably would have won it or been right on the wire with the winner ST, who got a very nice patient ride by Rosario.

He has a chance to redeem himself here with Striking Dancer, who is sitting at 12-1 (down from 30-1 ML).

LOL. In some 20 years of handicapping, I cashed exactly 1 time with Alex Solis - Dare and Go at Del Mar, defeating Cigar. I was the only person in the press box (funeral home) with a winning ticket.

Alex was pretty good in the 90s. I used him on a lot of tickets. I once singled him on a pick 3 in the last leg by mistake and he came through for a nice score. I still have wonderful memories of the mid 90\'s So Cal jock colony. It was hard to beat with the likes of Laffit, McCarron, Stevens, Desormeaux, an ultra aggressive Nakatani and the master of the photo finish - Eddie D.
