Dubai world cup seems logical yes?

Yes, sir. Trevor just announced it. If my earlier hunch is correct - she will likely face Rachel at Oaklawn in April. \"Giddy up!\"
im hoping a showdown at saratoga! IF they are opened lol
Good stuff. It\'s only a matter of time before they BOTH will be in the same starting gate.

I\'ll be surprised if it\'s not one prep, Dubai, and out.
Great news, wherever they go.
It\'s great to hear John will be shipping Z. I look forward to the matchup, as all other cappers will.
It will be nice to see if Z can prove worthy of mention in the same breath as Rachel.
I think Oaklawn was a good call for that happening. TV rights could push the purse up quite a bit-- if it\'s big enough and a handicap I have one I might suggest the owner run in there getting oh, 12-13 pounds.
Michael,
I think if Z remains sound, her campaign will be much more aggressive than that.
Dubai is Tapeta surface, which is different than the Poly/Cushion/Pro Ride.
Is there any question that Z\'s target will be Rachel? What\'s the point of continuing her career if Z and her connections will be constantly dogged about not meeting up somewhere with Rachel?
If they both remain sound this year, I could envision at least 2 meetings between the two superstars.
At any rate, this sport needs all the great interest it can generate, and Z resuming her career is welcome news.

yeah, I now see where Moss says he wants to run in \"some dirt races\". hard to believe the guy goes from complete retirement to a serious campaign and a battle against RA, but that looks like the plan. can they really pass up a $10 mio race though, at a trip similar to the BC? and if they do go to Dubai, what are the chances Z runs in 2 dirt races?
I think they can easily pass up the Dubai race, regardless of the purse.
I don\'t think $$$\'s figure that prominently in their decision. (Obviously, they\'re not gonna crank her up for a $ 200K purse). Plus, a lot of top horses have returned from the Dubai races and never recaptured their greatness.
I think its about respect, a little about the way they were treated and denegrated last year, it\'s about taking on challenges, it\'s about attempting to erase comments like \"gutless connections\", it\'s about proving Z\'s greatness on a surface other than artificial, it\'s about risking an unbeaten career, it\'s not as much about winning another couple of races, its likely more about dispelling the myth that she can only run on plastic, .....lastly, and maybe most importantly, its about meeting and hopefully beating Rachel.
We all know Mr. Moss and Mr. Jackson have sufficient money to retire forever, they each have one of the greatest female horses of recent years, but there can only be ONE greatest.
Last year....win, preserve her unbeaten record, win the BC Classic.
This year....only Z\'s connections know for sure.
With respect
i thought for sure she was coming back. I posted on this board a month or so ago that this was the most unusual let down program for a broodmare worth $20 million I\'ve ever seen. No way they would breeze her that many times, or even once if they were retiring her to the breeding shed. This is the biggest news (good news) for horse racing fans in many years. I hope the industry can parlay these matchups with Rachel into some renewed promotion of the sport. Really a once in a generation opportunity to exploit horse racing marketing wise, especially as they are both distaffers and will pull so many casual fans in. Get horse racing back on the front page of the sports section again outside of the Triple Crown. Awesome news. Let\'s hope they stay healthy as they build up to these Super Races.
