Title: My two cents On "Z" & Rachel
Post by: bellsbendboy on November 10, 2009, 05:37:34 PM
I suspect that the award for HOY will be split and would not have a problem with co-winners.

With that written, I cannot imagine Rachel holding off Zenyatta in the stretch at any trip over eight and a half panels, on any surface, even if in receipt of a couple of pounds.  bbb

Bell,

Z has never come close to \"running down\" a horse as fast as Rachel\'s nor has she ever run as fast.

Z ain\'t getting the last quarter in 23 on dirt, like she did on the rug Sat. The fastest dirt horses in history could not consistently shade 24 seconds in routes and Z ain\'t one of the fastest.People are forgetting most synths are \"turf\"

Z adores and was made for the rug and may be able to beat any horse that ever lived on it, assuming the fast dirt runners would implode like most that have tried it so far.

Hey Mike

I respect your opinion but would ask you to review the 2008 Apple Blossum at Oaklawn.  You\'ll find that \"Z\" did run her last quarter in roughly 23 seconds while coming off a three month vacation and finishing with something left. It was the first time Mikey rode her and he was \"in awe\".  bbb

Bell,

\"Consistently\" is the key word. I recall she got the last part of that race very quickly.I previously stated that she may have been very good on dirt also,I went off that one race.

Thank you! She would have even better had she competed on dirt. She managed to deal with the synthetic pro-ride, but she never liked it, and she absolutely hated the Polytrack at Del Mar - there\'s no debate on that. Hollywood\'s cushion is neutral and more like dirt. Whatever number she ran on pro-ride would have been much faster on dirt. Did you all see the gallop out on Saturday and that\'s with a distance she never went before. It\'s amazing, really.

To All of ya:

The race is over, and she won.

I was at one time tolerant of Synth tracks, but other than those tracks in very cold area\'s  (AQU Inner would be OK but even they have their chemically treated dirt), switch it back to dirt please...you too Kee!!

You could not bring into court any speculation. Facts only..just the facts...any thing else is just speculation and wasting your time, breath, and or key strokes..take your pick.

Those of you who have financial interest in either rachel or zenyatta, I can understand getting into this, otherwise, move on...

Richiebee had it right, whip out the Friday Aqu Card and handicap that.

So unless you are George Steinbrenner, you can\'t talk about the Yankees.

Enjoy the Aqueduct card.
