I made a nice pile last night just using logical horses, and I couldn\'t help but notice that the money they paid me was just as green as that from winners at any other track.

Now #1 there was less than $6,000 in the late DD, PICK 3 & PICK 4 so who collected the money??? There was a total of $60,000 in the win pool. No serious bettor could have bet into those pools.

Speaking for myself, I just bet a good size 4-6 exacta box, which lost. I had enough riding on the outcome without a win bet.
I tend to stay away from races we have a horse in if it doesn\'t figure well. On the other hand, I seldom run them in spots where they don\'t figure well if they fire.
