Title: Recap in the 6th today at Santa Anita
Post by: covelj70 on September 30, 2009, 05:08:46 AM
I can\'t wait to see this one run today at Santa Anita, full brother to After Market, Courageous Cat and Jalil.

What a family!

Has been training lights out for this.

All of the brothers have run much better at 3 than 2 so I don\'t really think he will be much of a play at what I am sure will be a low price given the pedigree, the workouts and Gomez but just purely from a fan standpoint, I can\'t wait to see this one run.

yeah, a bit rank early and then came a bit at the end.

race looked alot like Courageous Cat\'s first.  Hope they just keep him healthy until he\'s 3 bc the family is amazing and he should be as well.

One way or the other, what he did beat the hell out of what my filly did who ran in the next race at SA yesterday. Another brilliant, pedigree driven purchase of mine that ran up the track.  Nice work loser!

And to further that discussion-- the filly we put up in the maiden race (and whom I bet) went in off a buried (!) synth figure in her only start that was one point slower than the fastest anyone in the race had ever run, for a trainer who had a positive ROI first turf. And she was by Royal Academy out of a Kingmambo mare-- plus turf.

The super bred filly went off 5/2 and ran up the track, the one we put up went off 14-1 and got beat a nose. I did okay because I protected under everybody, the exacta was $521. The super filly may turn out to be any kind, but right now, fancy shmancy.

yeah and to add further insult to injury, I had the 14-1 12 horse in the 6th only on top and got nosed out on a very big win bet which I didn\'t protect underneath like an idiot and then my super bred super expensive Euro nag finished up the track in the next race.  It was a really super day yesterday.

I\'ve heard of \"the camera\" not liking people, but I\'ve never - until recently - heard of the photo finish camera not liking people. Sheez!

funny you say that, I saw the photo and I was really confused, I don\'t see how it wasn\'t at least a dead heat.
