Title: 8th race at sar sun
Post by: whodoctorwho on August 11, 2009, 12:00:23 PM
JB, AB or anyone else:

Any comment on the 8th race at sar Sunday?  Nybred alw optional clmg. at 1-1/8m.

At what odds could you use the winner (Freddy the Cap at 32/1) in a win bet considering his pattern? 20/1, 10/1?

At what odds could you use the winner in horizontal bets (P4, P3) considering his pattern?

At what odds could you use the winner in the top two positions in vertical bets (tris, supers)?

The winner had a 2 top along with two others, almighty silver and groomedforvictory, but to me the race was a bet all race in P3 and P4 races.  All the horses had negatives in their form cycle, difficult to handicap.

Everyone had negatives is right, that was a chaos race. I looked at the winner quite a while and would have been willing to throw out the synth \"X\" in his last if the previous synth effort hadn\'t been much better. Couldn\'t use him, the only way I would have used him in pick 3s or 4s would have been if I had very strong opinions in at least two other legs using at least 2 horses in them without using the favorite. Meaning, in that situation I would have used all.

You mean using \"at most\" 2 horses in two of the other legs, not \"at least\", yes? The fewer plays in the other legs allowing you to go \"all\" in the chaos leg?
